Mission Statement
The mission of The Monnet-Madison Institute, Inc. is to facilitate, in partnership with other organizations in the European and American Unions, the creation of a new generation of transatlanticists to succeed the generations of Americans and Europeans who won World War II and peacefully concluded the Cold War, an "alumni" network of knowledgeable professionals prepared for sophisticated, effective transatlantic interaction on bilateral, multilateral and global issues.
The Institute seeks to enhance the future of transatlantic relations by means of a web-centric, interpersonal and reciprocal educational program for emerging European and American leadership communities across five sectors: business, government, labor, media and academia.
Using the World Bank's 'conference ownership' model groups of EU and US citizens are to convene annually in alternating American and European venues to teach each other their respective constitutional histories and systems of governance, a longstanding objective of the two great unions in the West that this Institute intends to realize.
